Files and directories

When restoring files and directories, you need to select specific directories and/or files. The restore process has several options.

Direct restore of files and directories

With this option, you need to enter a restore path. When entering this path, the specified files and/or directories will be restored to it. For example, if you specify the restore path /tmp and you have selected /home for restoration, then /home will be restored to /tmp/home. If you check the option restore to original paths, then all selected files and directories will be overwritten at their original paths, i.e., if you select /home/ for restoration, it will be restored to /home, and the current directory will be overwritten with the one from the backup copy. With this option you also have the Overwrite existing files option, which is a dropdown menu from which you can select the behavior if the same files overlap during restoration - "Always", "Never", and "Overwrite if the restored file is newer".

Restore as program input

With this method, you can restore the content to a program that expects the content as its input.

Restore as compressed archive

If you wish, you can restore the selected files and directories as an archive. You need to specify a path and name for the output file, as well as the format. The supported formats are tar, tar.gz, and zip.
