Security¶
If you wish to provide an additional level of protection for your account, you can use various security mechanisms offered in the access section. These mechanisms can enable and disable certain options that will improve the security of your account.
For example, one of the available security mechanisms is restricting access to the account only from specific IP addresses. This means that only when you attempt to log into your profile from pre-configured IP addresses will you have successful access, while all other access attempts from different IP addresses will be blocked. This provides additional protection by preventing unauthorized individuals from gaining access to your account.
Additionally, you can enable two-factor authentication using Google Authenticator. This is a security method that requires you to provide two factors to verify your identity when logging into your account. The first factor is your standard email and password for login, and the second factor is a temporary code generated by the Google Authenticator app on your smart device. This combination of something you know (email + password) and something you have (a code from Google Authenticator) increases the security of your account by making it more difficult for potential malicious actors to gain unauthorized access to it.
