Introduction to the service

Bare Metal is a service for renting an entirely physical server, dedicated for single-tenant use — without virtualization and without sharing resources with other customers. You get direct access to the server's hardware, including CPU, RAM, local storage, and network interfaces, with the ability to manage it from the client area in a similar way to the Cloud VPS service.

Bare Metal - Overview

The service is suitable for workloads that require maximum performance, full control over the hardware, and predictable latency — for example, large databases, virtualization platforms, game servers, and applications with high I/O demands.

Key Features of Bare Metal

  • Fully physical resources — CPU, memory, disks, and network cards used only by you, with no hypervisor between you and the hardware
  • RAID configurations — hardware RAID for data protection and/or performance improvement
  • Multiple disks — combinations of NVMe disks for system data and workloads
  • Multiple network interfaces — physical network cards for separating public and private traffic
  • Rescue mode — booting into an alternative operating system for diagnostics and recovery
  • Reinstallation from the client area — choose between popular Linux distributions and Windows Server
  • Built-in web console — remote access to the server without the need for an SSH client

Differences Between Bare Metal and Cloud VPS

Feature Bare Metal Cloud VPS
Resource type Physical, fully dedicated Virtualized, guaranteed
Hypervisor No Yes
Plan resizing No — the plan is chosen at order time Yes, without data loss
Snapshots from the client area No Yes
RAID configuration Yes (hardware) No (abstracted by the platform)
Multiple physical disks Yes No — one main disk + Block Storage
Suitable for High load, predictable performance Flexible deployment, rapid scaling

Tip

If you need flexibility and the ability to quickly resize — choose Cloud VPS. If you need maximum performance and resource isolation — Bare Metal is the right choice.

Purpose of the Documentation

This documentation is designed to help you understand the Bare Metal service from Delta.bg. It covers:

  • General overview of the service and its capabilities
  • Step-by-step instructions for ordering and activating the service
