How to Order¶
Unlike Cloud VPS and Bare Metal, the Colocation service cannot be ordered directly from the client area — pricing depends on your specific needs (machine size, power consumption, network requirements) and requires direct consultation with our Sales department.
Ordering Process¶
-
Inquiry
Send an email to sales@delta.bg with information about your planned colocation and desired parameters. You can also create an inquiry from the client area if you already have an active account.
-
Quote and detail clarification
Our team will review your inquiry and contact you to clarify the details and prepare an individual quote. Depending on your needs, the quote may also include additional services (e.g., 24/7 support).
-
Confirmation and contract signing
After approving the quote, a service contract is prepared with the agreed parameters, timelines, and price. After signing, we proceed with technical preparation.
-
Equipment shipment
Ship your equipment to our office. Make sure you include all necessary components — power cables, mounting rails, and documentation if applicable.
-
Installation and activation
Once the machine arrives, it will be mounted in the rack at the data center within 2 business days. Network connectivity is then enabled and access is provisioned (per the agreement).
Required Information for the Quote¶
When sending an inquiry, describe your requirements in as much detail as possible. This helps us prepare an accurate and adequate quote. We're interested in:
- Number and size of machines in U — e.g., 1 × 1U server, 2 × 2U servers, or a full 42U rack
- Power consumption — approximate wattage of one device (or total for all)
- Number of network interfaces — how many independent network ports are needed
- Network speed — 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, or 10 Gbps per interface
- Remote access requirements — IPMI, pre-installed OS, OpenVPN access
- Additional services — 24/7 support, monitoring, backups
- Planned start date — desired activation date
Tip
If you're unsure about some parameters (e.g., exact power consumption), describe what you know — our team will help finalize the specification.
Equipment Requirements¶
Not every server is suitable for colocation. Before placing an order, verify that your machines meet the requirements:
- Rack-compatible design — the machine must be designed for mounting in a 19-inch rack (standalone towers without a rack kit are not suitable)
- Mounting rails — vendor-provided rails compatible with the machine are required. Rack depth must match the rails.
- Power connectors — data center racks use C13 outlets. Make sure your power cables have C14 plugs (standard for servers) or available adapters.
- Power consumption within limits — the machine must fit within the agreed rack power budget
For details, see the Glossary section.
Warning
Before shipping the hardware, always contact our team for final specification approval and shipment coordination. This avoids potential issues during installation.
Timelines and Acceptance¶
- After inquiry — quote usually within 1-3 business days
- After contract signing — shipment coordination
- After equipment arrival — installation within 2 business days
- Network connectivity and access activation — same day as installation or next business day
