Introduction to the service

Block Storage is a data storage service offered by Delta.bg as part of its cloud platform. It provides additional block storage volumes (disks) that can be attached to your Cloud VPS servers. Each volume acts as an independent disk that stores data separately from the server and can be moved between different servers as needed.

Block Storage - Overview

Block Storage is a method of storing data where information is organized into fixed-size blocks. Each block is managed independently, giving you fine-grained control over your storage. Volumes can be dynamically attached to and detached from servers without the need for a restart, providing maximum flexibility.

Key Features of Block Storage

  • Flexible storage — create volumes from 50 GB up to 1 TB and choose between NVMe and HDD disk types based on your performance and cost requirements
  • Portability — detach a volume from one server and attach it to another within the same project, preserving all data and without a server restart
  • NVMe and HDD options — high-speed NVMe drives for performance-critical workloads or cost-effective HDD drives for bulk storage
  • Snapshots — create point-in-time snapshots of your volumes for quick recovery to a previous state
  • Regional availability — place your volume in the region of your infrastructure (available region: eu-sof-1 — Sofia, Bulgaria)
  • Easy management — manage volumes from the web interface in the client area, including monitoring, snapshots, and service details
